Thankful to the giver of all good things

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Ephesians 3:20-21

Summer is upon us!

I LOVE summer. I always have. It is sunny and warm most of the time which is great for  me since I am cold 99% of the time otherwise. The garden is growing by leaps and bounds. I harvested the first of many yellow squash today. I have planted the biggest garden thus far this year. So far, we have enjoyed strawberries, onions, lettuce, basil, and yellow squash. One of my friends gave me some kale to enjoy and some to plant. We have also planted potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, acorn squash, butternut squash, corn, cilantro, peppers, and green beans. G has learned to help weed in the garden and is a great help. We usually do this while L is napping. I don't trust her to help weed yet. She tends to pull things she shouldn't. :)

We finished up our school work today. I am blessed to be able to get our Sonlight books for next year from a Christian from another state! I have decided on a new math curriculum, Math U See, for next year. I am hoping it will be better for my little kinesthetic learner.

I am also busy preparing materials for Bible class. I am currently teaching and will continue teaching next quarter as well as our VBS in August. The theme for VBS is "Unlikely Heroes." I have the 3-5 year olds and we are covering Joseph, Daniel, Gideon, Daniel, and Jesus. We will also do our mini-day camp for the kids at our house on the Friday before VBS as a kick-off. It is usually tons of fun for everyone!! I will try to post details about it later.

I hope you are all enjoying these lovely days with your sweet families!
